“I remember every time I ever had a meeting at a record label. Every time I’ve ever spoken with an A&R or label rep from Warner Bros, Interscope Records, Def Jam, Universal and even Atlantic Records.

I remember every piece of feedback or advice they gave me. Most of it was horrible feedback. It taught that even the people in the highest positions in music can misunderstand you because they don’t make music themselves.

I review music from those experiences. I listen to music differently than most people, and I look for every chance to review another creatives music as an opportunity for both of us to learn and for them to use this experience to develop.
