What I Look Forward to Adding to the Online Music Community

The online music community is a mess, and there are a lot of smart people exploiting the following:

  • the lack of qualified professional music education, insight, tutorials and professional content in general.

  • the ignorance of the common online music creative who does not have music experience.

  • the professional music creatives in-ability to create content at the rate of amateur content creators. The ignorance of the professional allows the amateur to place himself “in front of the line” on YouTube by having an understanding of SEM, SEO, Marketing, consumer behavior, etc, giving in-experienced music creatives seeking to learn the impression that the amateur is the professional.

The online music community is not inviting to music industry professionals. There’s a huge disconnect between what’s needed and what’s currently being provided to amateur music creatives, aspiring music creatives, aspiring music professionals and a lot of changes need to be introduced, and I look forward to spearheading all of this.

These are some of the core pillars & creative series’ that I look to bring to the online music community, but there needs to be an incentive for me, from the people I’m supposed to be serving online:

  • Integrity

  • Accountability

  • Organizational Structure

  • Entertainment

  • Music Industry Tutorials

  • Production Series

  • Interviews

I ask myself this question everyday as I learn more and more about the current state of the online music community, “Do I NEED to be online?” The answer is NO. I want to do it, because I’m good at it, I know how to solve the current problems, and I can make people feel something and laugh at the same time. I have the ability to motivate & inspire on the highest level. I have the ability to empower. I have the ability to take down big businesses that are bad for the community and I have the ability to shift the culture back in the right direction.

I am powerful and I understand where my powers lie.

I want to see accountability. I want to divert and re-direct some (won’t be able to re-direct everyone) but some is better than not doing anything at all… but yeah, I was to bring a lot of passionate music creatives to their proper light.

Since everyone is on YouTube, I plan on calling out the bullshit, explaining why it’s bullshit and giving people a better solution than bullshit.

I look forward to getting with my investment partners and creating a website that acts as a social site for music creatives. This site will allow everyone to search for reviews on online content creatives in the music space who are selling products and providing educational resources.

Online creatives don’t know “who to trust”, and have to rely on YouTube comments, likes, views & thumbnails. “If it looks legit, sounds legit, it must be legit… since I don’t have professional experience, there’s no way I can really tell if this person is legit or not!” - YouTube Subscriber

This all needs to change, and I will make sure it does.
